The Ashfield Citizens Scholarship Fall Festival Fund was established by the arts and crafts community of Ashfield in 1971. The fund is maintained by donations from individuals and organizations that donate a percentage of their proceeds from the annual Fall Festival. The Scholarship Committee would like to acknowledge and thank all the vendors and community businesses who contributed from this past Fall Festival—these scholarships wouldn’t be possible without them.
Each year, scholarships are awarded for educational purposes to Ashfield applicants of all ages based on financial need. Any Ashfield resident is eligible to apply. Since 1984 the fund has been available to Ashfield organizations in need of funds to help better serve our community. The Scholarship Committee considers applications and grants the awards in May each year.
Any Ashfield resident or organization interested in applying is invited to fill out an application. Applications are now available at Belding Memorial Library and Mohawk Trail Regional High School, as well as at Franklin County Technical and Smith Vocational and Agricultural schools, The Academy at Charlemont, and here, on the Ashfield Town Website.
Applications must be completed in full to be considered, and returned by April 5 to the Ashfield Citizen Scholarship & Community Fund, Inc. PO Box 120 Ashfield, MA 01330. Please note that this scholarship is a separate scholarship from the VanValkenburg Scholarship. Any individual applicant may apply to both scholarships.
