Ashfield Seniors and yet-to-be- Seniors

In February the Select Board appointed a temporary five-member committee called the Senior Services Outreach Committee. The primary task of this committee is to gather information on services for senior citizens in Ashfield and how those services are delivered. The committee is reaching out to Ashfield residents for their feedback on services presently being supplied and services which our seniors would like to see offered in the future. The committee has sought information from the Ashfield Council on Aging and the Senior Center in Shelburne in addition to the general public. The Select Board has requested a report from the committee no later than June 1st.

The committee has developed a short survey (10 easy questions) for Ashfield residents to express their thoughts and opinions on senior services for the town.

The Senior Center and Council on Aging List of Services

You can submit your Survey ONLINE HERE   *  Note you do not have to create an account to do the survey online.

Additionally, printed copies are available at various locations around town such as Ashfield Hardware, Neighbors Store, the Library, Country Pie, Elmers and at the transfer station.

Attached is a list of services provided by The Senior Center in Shelburne, also a copy of the survey. We ask that you please fill out the survey and drop in the Drop Box by the side door at Town Hall or mail it to Senior Survey, Ashfield Town Hall, PO Box 560.

Members of the committee may also call you to gather more information or answer any questions. Should you have any concerns, suggestions or questions feel free to contact a member of this committee by phone, e-mail or in-person, masked & six feet apart.

Ashfield residents – This is important, please be sure to respond to our survey by mid-May so we can make our report to the Select Board by June 1st.
