The Town of Ashfield has received a grant through the Mohawk Trail Woodland Partnership for the Box Steps project.  This project will be done by the SCA (Student Conservation Association Massachusetts Americorps) in May.   Construction will be of dimensional box steps from the public parking area in the Pak to the boat landing and fishing area.  The area is steep and currently highly eroded and stairs will provide safer access.  In addition, the box step stairs will help mitigate erosion and storm water runoff to protect the water quality of the Lake.

NO SEASON BOAT DROP OFF OF ANY WATERCRAFT WILL BE ALLOWED UNTIL AFTER JUNE 1ST.  Access to the boat launch area will be open once the ice melts.
