CDBG Public Hearing

The Town of Ashfield will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 13th at 7PM to solicit public response to the submission off an FY 2014 Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to the Department of Housing and Community Development on behalf of the towns of Ashfield, Heath, Hawley & Charlemont. A snow date has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the contents of the application which will include two regional activities: a Housing Rehabilitation Program and a Social Service Program. Representatives from Franklin County Regional Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will be present at the hearing to discuss the application and programs. The Town of Heath (lead) will contract with HRA to administer the CDBG Program.

The Towns encourage residents to attend the meeting where any person or organization wishing to be heard will be afforded the opportunity.
