2014 Annual Town Meeting

Town Meeting will be held in Town Hall at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3rd. The Warrant as well as a document that lists and explains many of the important questions that we will be discussing and voting on in this year's meeting can be accessed by clicking the "read more" link. Wireless Internet Service Provider Proposal

On Thursday March 20th at 7pm in Ashfield Town Hall, the Ashfield Select Board will host an informational meeting on Hilltown Network's proposal to provide high-speed internet service using the Town Hall Steeple as the site for antennas enabling the provision of service.

The board invites your participation, questions and comments.

Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan

A draft Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Town of Ashfield is available for public comment.  Copies of the plan are available for download clicking the link above, or at Ashfield Town Hall.  The -public comment period ends on March 28th, 2014.

New Forest Designation

Please read this flyer for information about a series of meetings to discuss a possible New Forrest Designation.  One of four scheduled meetings will be held in Ashfield on March 12th from 6-8 pm at Town Hall.

Rabies Clinic - March 1 2014

There will be a Rabies Clinic from 10 am till noon on Saturday, March 1st at the Shelburne Falls Veterinary Hospital on Rte 2 in Shelburne Falls.  Vaccinations are $20 each, and please have all dogs leashed.

Burning Season

The burning season is open from January 15th through May 1st from 10am to 4pm for those who have a permit.

Permits are available from Shelburne Control at (413) 625-8200 or throug the website at www.fcburnpermits.com .  More information is available on the website.

Housing Rehabilitation Grants

The Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is applying for a Community Development Block Grant.

Income eligible homeowners may qualify to bring their homes into code compliance.
