A New Year, A New Phone Book!

A small group of people has been meeting to organize the revision of the 2011 Ashfield Directory to be available in the Spring of 2017.  The data collection will occur over the next few months. February 15, 2017 will be the data collection deadline. April 1, 2017 is the printing deadline.

Public Service Announcement

For Immediate Release

In the interests of public safety, the Town of Ashfield will be closing a portion of Apple Valley Road beginning on December 5, 2016, until further notice.

The portion of the road to be closed is approximately 1.9 miles northwest of the intersection of Route 112, known as Ashfield Mountain Road, to the intersection of Tatro Road. There will be no through traffic, so users should seek alternate routes.

Request for Quotes for Belding Memorial Library Steps Repair and Restoration

Under the provisions of M.G.L. c.149, 44A-44J, the Town of Ashfield requests written quotes for repair and restoration of the Belding Memorial Library steps located at 344 Main Street, Ashfield, MA 01330.

Quotes should be titled “Belding Memorial Library Steps Repairs” and will be received by the Chief Procurement Officer, 412 Main Street, PO Box 560, Ashfield MA 01330, until November 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

A pre-bid site meeting will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Belding Memorial Library, 344 Main Street, Ashfield, MA 01330.

Wage rates for this bid are subject to prevailing wage rates per MGL Chapter 149 inclusive.

Pole Data Collection Services to begin in Ashfield October 3

The Massachusetts Broadband Institute has contracted and authorized Osmose Utility Services to conduct pole data collection of all utility owned poles. This service is necessary for designing a fiber to the home network and applying for attachment licenses with the pole owners.

If there are any questions regarding the authenticity of the contractor please call MBI at 1-508-870-0312 and ask for John Furey, construction manager.
